Clickers are a more advanced form of the cordycep infection that plagues the world in The Last of Us.
Clickers are blinded by plates of fungus that have grown over their eyes, but have an acute sense of hearing. They may be avoided, but as they are usually in groups, taking them on is sometimes necessary.
They may be killed silently with the use of shivs however if one finds you, your best option is either a shotgun or a melee weapon, as punching is ineffective.
