I'd take an ice cold can over a glass bottle any day

Glass bottles are a fun novelty but they're way less convenient to deal with for recycling. Once the novelty wears off, I also am on team can.

Team fountain, pretty much the only way I occasionally drink soda.. Less sugary(typically) and more carbonation. Cherry Coke is the GOAT. If we had it in Canada when I was a kid I would probably have diabetes. I can't reliably compare can and bottle so I'll choose cans for easier recycling :)

back when I drank sugared Coke instead of Coke Zero in general in the USA can=corn syrup and bottle=cane sugar (usually an import) so that made bottles better.

However if the liquid inside is the same then can is better than bottle. Especially because IMO bottles tend to be overcarbonated.

Vanilla Coke > Cherry. I agree with @ben_h, glass is a fun novelty but can is better and hits me in the nostalgia too. Fountain Coke is syruppy and delicious but it's almost a whole different beast idk. I think I'd go can all things being equal, but a lot of places have fountain cokes for like 90 cents. Canned coke is north of a $1.50. I hate how a lot of gas stations stopped selling 12 oz cans too. That's plenty of coca-cola classic

What's the king of fountain cokes? Got to take a hard line for McDonalds on this one.

Oh yeah, if fountain is an option here then that's my pick. It's somehow always better.

Glass bottles are the best way to drink anything, not just soda. But the waste and clean up are a pain to deal with afterward. This is why plastic became such a big deal for corporations, despite its many potential health issues associated with it. And while cans, can be nice, unless you pour the liquid into a drinking glass or cup, you don't see what is inside. So just slamming it down, can result in some surprises.

I'm team can for all beverages they are an option for. The metal can keeps it way colder than glass seems to, and also you don't have to shamefully look at the inside of it when you drink more than half in the first glug. Bottles let everyone know you are drinking too fast.

I prefer the cokes in plastic bottles over cans. The taste changes very quickly with a can and with a bottle I can take my time and drink.

Edit: I should elaborate, they don't really sell cokes in glass bottles where I live. Some places have em but it's not like they're sold in shops and convinience stores.

Drive-by Diet Pepsi-ing all you godless heathens.

Also, yeah, fountain drinks and cans are where it's at. Or just gimme the big-ass two liters that wind up being inexplicably cheaper than the one-liters.
