David Galindo, the developer behind Cook, Serve, Delicious, has announced Cook, Serve, Delicious, 2!

Like many duders, I learned about Cook, Serve, Delicious from the Giant Bomb Quick Look with Ryan and Jeff. To this day, that is one of my favorite quick looks. I love Jeff's reaction when someone comes in at 9 am to get a beer. If you haven't, you should read Galindo's post about how Ryan saved his game development career. I love the game, and I can't wait for the sequel!

Awesome!! I really enjoyed the first 1, even if I never got very far in it, i think i'm at a 3 star restaurant? The progression was super slow, that was after like 6 hours of play or something..

Hopefully it will include the 'Ryan Davis' burger still.

Day 1 purchase for me. I think I've bought the original 3 times over at this point, but it's worth it because the game is a ton of fun.

I have faith that this will be good, given how good the post-release content updates for CSD have been. Day 1!

Aw yeah. The first game is so, so good. Definitely something that deserved way more attention than it got.

This is incredibly good news. The first CSD remains one of my favorite games... just one of those sorts of games that feels like it was designed to make my neurons all flare in pleasure. They did a lot post-launch to extend and enhance the game, and I'm really excited to see what they do in a follow-up.

His PS blog post is really heartwarming too!

Still, I didn’t know if that would play to the gaming audience, given that a large majority of cooking games were of the simple, casual variety, and Cook, Serve, Delicious! was very much the opposite of that. In fact it didn’t really take off until Ryan Davis of Giantbomb picked it up for a Quick Look video. Since then, the game has inspired hundreds of Let’s Play videos and streams for a cumulative total of more than six million views, and has grossed nearly a million across PC and mobile.

@gaff: That's pretty awesome. Its amazing to see just how positive an impact that single quick look has had for this guy. And its entirely true. Once one person does a "Lets Play" of a game that always inspires a ton of other people to do one as well. Indie devs always get a huge boost if a popular YouTuber plays a game.

Super excited for this! I pretty much wore out my iPad 2 from playing the first one, so I can't wait to wear out my PS4 playing the second!

I will get this as long as it isn't too expensive. Hopefully the Ryan Davis burger will make a return to the sequel

@gaff: Wow, grossed nearly a million dollars? I can still remember some of his early dev blog posts where he was barely earning enough sales to keep going. That's insane, I'm really happy for him.

@cloudymusic: Yeah I'm really happy for him as well. I got to chat with Galindo a few months back. He is a lot of fun to talk to. He is also really open about his sales, and development of his games.

Also announced for PS4 which is awesome, I'll definitely have to get this. The creator even talks about Ryan Davis and the quicklook for the first game in the blog post on the playstation blog. Hope this game does well for him.

Excellent! I'm really enjoying the super detailed food art that they're doing in this one.
