    How the heck do you save?

    I just lost about 20 minutes of progress because I thought it'd save after each battle. How can I save manually??

    By finding somewhere the game auto-save. Thats it really

    As far as I can tell it saves when you change areas and after key story points. Other than that I have not found a hard save function.

    Try going back to another area. Otherwise, it'll do it automatically after key events. I lost about 20 minutes of progress once as well. Learned my lesson after that.
