Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese football player who has appeared in several football (soccer) video games since 2003. Born on February 5th 1985, Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays as a winger, started his career as a professional football player in 2001 when he signed a contract with Sporting CP, having played for their youth club since 1997. In 2003 he was signed by English giant Manchester United, and later left the club to join Real Madrid in 2009 Cristiano Ronaldo has won numerous individual awards and has been chosen as the PFA Player's Player of the Year, PFA Fan's Player of the Year and the FWA Football of the Year for two consecutive seasons. He was also selected as the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year in 2008. He has also won several honors with his current club, Manchester United, where he has three English Premier League Winner's medals, the English FA Cup, as well as having played a large part in the club's European success in the 2007-2008 season, winning the UEFA Champions League. He also helped his side to a UEFA Champions League final in 2009, where United eventually succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Barcelona. During the summer of 2008 there was intense speculation linking Ronaldo with að move to Spanish outfit Real Madrid. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson refused to sell his star man, and Ronaldo helped United to reclaim the Barclays Premier League as well as reaching the Champions League final over the season. However, on June 26th Real Madrid confirmed they had reached an agreement with both Manchester United and the player, eventually signing him for a world record transfer fee of £80 million. On July 3rd, 2010 Ronaldo announced through his Facebook that he had become a father to a baby boy. Ronaldo said "It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy. As agreed with the baby's mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship." He and Lionel Messi are considered to be the best soccer players in the world with many disputes regarding who is the better one. The fact that Messi plays for FC Barcelona, the bitter rival of Real Madrid results in a a constant comparison between the two in the media.
