Arctic-themed Cryostasis has players explore a relatively faithfully constructed Soviet-era nuclear ice-breaker. Game mechanics include using heat and exhaustion to represent player stamina, using heat sources to regain this stamina, and the use of a flashback ability to alter the past.
I've heard that this game is not playable on Windows 7. Is this going to be patched, or is there any way around this without messing with Windows? Or is this even true at all?
I don't know if it's true but Windows 7 has a feature that will run programs designed for Windows XP. It doesn't always work but it's worth a try I guess.
@JJWeatherman: Yep, Windows 7 has a compatibility mode for every previous version of windows. It's really sweet, I love it. You just rightclick, select properties and then click the "compatibility" tab. You can set it all the way back to compatibility with Windows 95 @Madyew: And it's buggy on everything. The game is just buggy all the time.
