    Daegon is a fighter in the Mortal Kombat series and the primary antagonist in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.

    Daegon is the brother of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon protagonist Taven and son of Edenian god Argus. Daegon and his brother are put into a state of hibernation after a vision of Armageddon, only to be awakened to fight Blaze and save the realms from extinction.
    However, due to mistake by the guardian Caro protecting Daegon, he is awakened early. Angry and crazed from awakening early, Daegon confronts his parents about the real reasons behind their quest and shortly after kills them. He goes on to form the Red Dragon clan and attempts to murder his brother when he is awakened to battle Blaze. Daegon reveals that he killed their family because Shinnok had told him they favored Taven, and the two battle to determine who will fight Blaze and prevent Armageddon. Daegon loses the battle to Taven, who goes on to fight Blaze.


    Mortal Kombat: Armageddon

    Despite losing to Taven, Daegon cheats and stabs Blaze in the back during the fight with Taven, instantly killing him. It's shortly revealed that Daegon's parents are not dead, rather feigning their death to see which of their sons would prove themselves worthy. Argus chooses Taven as his successor, while shaming Daegon for all the damage he has caused and promising punishment.
