Dance Dance Revolution A (pronounced Ace) is the 15th arcade release of the long-running rhythm franchise, following up the ambiguously titled Dance Dance Revolution (2013). It was first announced at the Konami Arcade Championship in February 2016. The release boasts 43 new songs for a total of over 700 available on the machine with new songs added periodically over the internet.

It is the first DDR arcade machine to be officially released in North America since Dance Dance Revolution X2. Its release also marks the introduction of Konami's e-AMUSEMENT system to North America, providing shared player accounts across internet-connected arcade machines. Logging in with an "e-AMUSEMENT PASS" allows players to save and share their high scores, as well as unlock exclusive songs which are unavailable to anonymous players.

As is customary with North American releases, several recent Billboard Hot 100 hits have been licensed for inclusion along with more traditional DDR fare.
