The axe is a tool used for many activities. Its uses include cutting wood, knocking down doors in emergencies, and rending your enemies limb from limb without mercy or regret.

Boardwalk

A walkway made of wood, often sighted near beaches, wetlands and other sensitive environments.

Book

Some games have readable books. Come and quench your thirst for knowledge.

Bottle

Whether it's translucent, transparent, opaque, glass, plastic, or some other material the bottle can be your best friend, or your worst enemy. Sometimes filled with liquor, or maybe an extra supply of lantern oil.

Boulder

A large rock that sometimes falls from the sky.

Bracelet

A piece of jewelry worn around the wrist.

A sculpture depicting a person's head and shoulders.

Button

A button is a switch mechanism that is used to control a machine or process.

Cage

Cages are often used to house prisoners or animals. Other cages are used to confine combatants.

Cardboard Box

A cardboard box is handy for many things, but it's probably best known as something Solid Snake can hide under.

Chocolate

Chocolate, a delicious candy. Fermented, roasted, shelled, and ground cacao seeds, often combined with a sweetener or flavoring agent.

Cigarette

When referring to cigarettes, one is normally referring to a tobacco cigarette, although the term cigarette can be applied to similar objects containing things other than tobacco.

Conveyor Belt

A moving belt that transports objects (and player characters and non-player characters) from one place to another.

Corpse

The (already) dead body of an animal or human being. Some have items or important notes on them.

Crate

Crates sometimes contain things!

Double-Bladed Sword

A weapon that has a sword blade on each end. While having never existed in real life history, it occasionally shows up in some video games and elsewhere.

Electric Chair

A method of execution where the person is strapped to a specially built wooden chair and electrocuted through electrodes placed on the body.

Electric Fence

A fence that has electric current running through it, that will harm any characters that touch it.

Elevator

A machine designed with the purpose of moving objects or characters vertically.

Girders

Girders are the life blood of most modern architecture. They can be jumped on, climbed up, thrown, or bent by some kind of bending robot.

Grate

A construct consisting of crossed bars. Vertical grates are particularly suited for climbing.

Guillotine

A public execution and entertainment device. The guillotine was mainly used to settle disputes during the French revolution.

Houseplant

A potted plant grown indoors for decorative purposes.

Key

Used to open doors, or anything else that is locked. In any game where the player has an inventory, it's a safe bet that a key will appear at some point.

Laboratory Apparatus

Mostly used in laboratories to conduct experiments.

Ladder

A ladder is used to gain access to higher or lower ground. Also used as a weapon in most wrestling games.

Lava

Lava is molten rock, usually from the interior of a planet, and in games is often used as a hazard to players, or as a visible gameplay-area boundary.
