Any one gunning for him since he's been popping up in my book of the guilty? I've been tempted but I'm honestly not sure yet.

Matt Bodega in book of the guilty.

Listen, I'm not saying that I'm telling everyone to take down Matt Kessler, but I'm not saying everyone shouldn't take out Matt Kessler. Right now.
...we ARE still talking about a video game, right?
@Resident4t: Yeah I'm in that covenant. It's super fun griefing the griefers. But I don't think you can just pick out whoever you want from the book of the guilty. You use the blue eye orb in a danger zone (Sen's Fortress, Anor Londo etc) and you get matched up with someone of similar level who are in the book of the guilty and fight them as a Blue Phantom of Justice. You can also wear a ring that will summon you to protect Anor Londo from invaders but its much harder because you'll fight other players on their terms, which usually means a quick backstab the moment you spawn.
What I wanna know is does them dying at the hands of a blue phantom absolve the guilty? There has been a time or two when the guy I'm fighting barely puts up a fight, one guy bowed to me as I was preping a homing soul mass while being at a sliver of health he could have easily killed me and saved his souls. So I'm wondering if its just cheaper for them to get killed by someone and be absolved rather than have to pony up the souls to the guy in the bell tower.

@Omega: If getting killed by a blue phantom does get you absolved, then it is definitely cheaper than paying. I killed one NPC and left a covenant and I have to pay around 60,000 souls. That was back when I was about 20 levels lower, I don't even want to find out how much I owe now lol
Whoa, whoa, whoa. If I leave a covenant I get punished? I left Way of the White for Princess Guard (or whatever it is called). Am I in the book of guilty now? Also, do I need to be human in order to be invaded by a blue phantom?
Guys, I need some help. I've been in the Darkmoon covenant for some time now, and I've tried using the blue eye orb several times now and I always get 'invasion failed'. As in I've never once invaded as a blue phantom. Am I just the wrong level, or am I trying from the wrong places? What level are you guys who've successfully invaded with the blue eye orb? I'm level 52 right now and I've tried invading in anor londo, the painted world, and sen's fortress, all to no success.

Now I may be talking out of my ass on this but I don't think you get put in the book of the guilty for leaving a covenant if you do so by talking to the Bell Tower NPC, but if you break a covenant by joining another without first leaving your original covenant then I think you get put on the shitlist.

@SuperWristBands: This I still don't know entirely. I think you get sinning points or whatever by simply leaving your covenant through the specific NPC for that covenant. However if you talk to the guy at the belltower and leave your covenant, I think you get no penalty. Furthermore I think you are only added to the book of the guilty if you actually betray a covenant ( attack them like I did ) not abandon a covenant ( as you have done).
That's fine then. I was trying real hard to be good! No invading and only helping dudes out!
@MentalDisruption:@Omega:
:(
I did not talk to the NPC first. I was at the boobie lady and left it when accepting her covenant.

I just joined the covenant today but after a few hours of exclusively searching for guilty opponents I only found a handful of them. Sen's Fortress and Anor Londo were my biggest successes in finding people. I figure hanging around high traffic areas is your best bet or hanging around in places that someone your level would normally be. From what I hear the servers for this game aren't all that great so its best to just try again and again and again until you find someone. You're probably looking at a ratio of, like, 20:1. So just keep doing what you're doing and good luck.
