I'm playing as a pyromancer and I've gotten my INT stat up to 19, and have 4 slots for spells, my other stats have been put into endurance/strength/dexterity. I have a lot of soul points and I'm ready to level however I'm unsure as to how effective the INT stat is. I've heard that it only helps with soul based spells which is alright, I just don't want to dump a lot of levels into a stat that doesn't help much.

Do you guys think the stat makes big enough of a difference to invest a lot of points into?

Int does not affect Pyromancy spells until you upgrade your Pyro flame item a bit. So unless you've done that a bunch the int point aren't going to help much unless you also want to cast Sorcery spells.

At the point I'm at (lv 21), I'm just playing a Pyro like I would another melee class. I just look at the Fireball as a cool perk, but I don't consider my class to be like a Sorcerer. I'm dumping my points into Str, Sta, End.

@uniform: That's exactly what baffled me about the pyro... I was playing melee/hunter, then I found the pyromancer in the sewers, and it seemed dumb not to buy it. Now I have replenishable firebombs basically in addition to my melee? Sign me up.
