    A quasi-sequel to From Software's action-RPG Demon's Souls, set in a new universe while retaining most of the basic gameplay and the high level of challenge. It features a less-linear world, a new checkpoint system in the form of bonfires, and the unique Humanity system.

    192812 Kyary Concept Adding a bunch of stuff I was reminded of by https://www.giantbomb.com/forums/general-discussion-30/i-want-as-many-games-where-you-can-knock-enemies-i-1901134/ These games all have pits (generally bottomless pits). I didn't add every game in that thread because, like, I didn't play them and I would hate to be wrong on the internet. There are games (Dark Souls 3) that I feel *must* have pits but I can't remember them. Oh well! A lot of these games are really well known and popular, so I'm kind of surprised to see them left out here. I guess it's possible they were rejected before? IMO these *all* have specific pits I can remember but maybe it's worth defining what pits are acceptable; is a series of platforms in space above a "pit" or not? Can a pit have an exit on the wall? Must a pit be bordered on all sides by playable areas? How deep must a pit be before it's a pit? Is a cliff a pit (I think it isn't, but I could see the case for a cliff being a "bottomless pit" for the purposes of game discussion) 01/30/22 05:45PM 14 done

Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger are turn-based games. I'm also removing Final Fantasy 3, but the other game I will not remove due to both games being in the SNES and some similarities due to the games also being developed by Square Enix (besides the obvious different takes on combat) and the origins of the Mana series as "final fantasy adventure" Golden Axe Warrior is not even an RPG, straight up Zelda clone adventure game. 01/17/21 07:55AM 20 done
