Loving it, good to see its keeping its own style intact!
Looking forward to the puzzles, Death seems more agile then War.

Cool. The first one was fun, even if very basic. The whole time I was playing it I was thinking a sequel would probably kick ass though.
Darksiders is 1 word :(
looks awesome as expected, but im a HUGE fan of the first. Also, Despair (Death's horse) looks creepy

@Mordukai: I wasn't even aware of a Darksiders comic. What is it about? A prequel story?
its a prequel yes, War impales Death through the chest with his sword and Death is pretty much like "Dude...come on..."and brushes it off

So you're only playing as Death in this one? I thought I heard awhile back that all four horsemen would be featured in this sequel--was that a dream or did I miss a design change?
Edit-- did it bother anyone else that you can't see Death's mouth? they need to animate his jaw moving when he's speaking or something, it looks weird with his head just bobbing there while words psychically fly out from his skull.
Let me change my pants.
OK. GODDAMNIT I WANT IT NOW! I loved the first game so so so so very much, and playing as death is going to be even more fun. Definitely was my favorite design out of the 4 in the comic book. Cannot wait! I hope it comes out early 2012.
I think I'm going to pre-order Warhammer 40K Space Marine when I get money to get a PC copy of Darksiders for free so I can play it again, since Space Marine looks goddamn awesome anyways.

I really don't like the Darksiders character designs.
I hope this game emphasizes puzzle-solving and exploration more than the first. The 3D Zelda games can get away with mediocre combat because it's fairly rare and fast, but in Darksiders (which, granted, has better combat, but it's still not good) you spent probably 80% button mashing boring enemies to death. It was more God of War than Zelda.
Darksiders was the only game in a LONG time that I've played through and not ever had one complaint about. Usually I'll get pissed at something stupid in a game or get a bit bored of it, but that never happened in Darksiders for me.
Death and War are awesome.
Bu the problem is that it leaves them the 2 lame horsemen that they changed for Darsiders 3 , Strife and Fury
So the original concept for Darksiders included four player co-op, hence the four horsemen. That was cut early on. Then, after the end of Darksiders 1 very heavily implied that the next game would have that co-op, I was pretty disappointed to hear the sequel would be a single-player side story.... But now that I'm seeing images from the game, who am I kidding? I can't help but be incredibly excited at the prospect of more Darksiders.
Sure, Death's face looks a little too... I dont know... mid-90s comic book hardcore? Like he should be Spawn's sidekick or something... BUT DUDE IT'S A SEQUEL TO DARKSIDERS!!

Now I really can't wait. Here's hoping that they do a better job with the PC version this time around.
I like to think they'll have learned from their mistakes last time around. Let's face it, Darksiders wasn't completely issue free, but it was pretty damn awesome... I think that for DS II they've got a substantial fan base who are ready to take that game on its own merits, not as a clone of Zelda, and they'll try to do right by them in every way possible. I like to be an optimist. I actually wrote an article about Darksiders, peoples' expectations for Darksiders II, and Zelda, so if you're interested in that, give it a read because I'd like to know what you think of my opinions. I'm trying to home my skills because I want to go into games journalism quite seriously, so the feedback would be greatly appreciated. :)

@tomr711: Hello, I just got the time to read it all. Well written, I agree that Zelda is becoming stale, and even more appreciate Darksiders because they can pretty much do anything. Trying out new things, with practically no limitations. And it seems like they're going in the right direction, improving on everything while at the same time adding a ton of new stuff.
