I'd have to say xbox since that seems like the superior version
Probably runs smoother on PC. And you have 360 controller support. Despite the game being plagued with bugs at launch, the Steam version has been updated to near-perfection. With the latest patch, I haven't had a single issue, and the game runs like a dream. Expect quicker, and better patch support on Steam than through Microsoft's ridiculous certification process.
I guess it depends on whether the money you're saving on the PC version would be worth any potential issues you may encounter. Of course, you should probably take everything on the Steam forums with a grain of salt, it might not be as bad as people make it out to be, but then it's possible that it is.
Another thing to take into account is which platform your friends would be playing on if you want to co-op.
As far as I'm concerned, I can get the game for as low as $15 for PC and I'm getting it along with a couple of my friends, so I'm gonna get it for that. Not expecting it to be perfect, but for that price, even if it was a bad port I ain't gonna complain.

I second this for the most part. But the game does feel like a controller is a requirement. Which sucks if you like Kb/M like I do. If you're okay with a controller then it seems to run and play fine on PC. Although I don't know how multiplayer is working.
Playing this on pc, doesn't seem to be much better than console version, the only difference is 1080p and 150 fps. I wish it was more like dead rising 2 on pc and consoles.
I found it for $33 on PC so I got that version. The 360 controller is implemented well, I haven't run into any bugs yet and it seems very stable. The visuals looked much sharper than the Quick Look of the 360 version (I edited some .ini settings to stop pop-in and up-res the shadows, makes a world of difference). Multiplayer is working last I check (a few hours ago). Factoring in everything I'd recommend that version.
Not sure about the PC version, but I've been playing it on Xbox and I have only encountered a single, very small glitch in that type.
I would just say to be sure and play with a controller, using analog combat, regardless of the platform you choose.

I still prefer using kb/m, but in all honesty the game isn't optimized for those controls at all. The menus have the same problem as Borderlands (as well as the sensitivity in them not scaling), you're forced to use the frankly inferior digital aiming mode, etc.
OK, one quick thing which many people haven't said. If you watch the quick look, they mention something called an "analog" control scheme in which you have control over the direction and power of your weapon. So instead of just madly hammering the R button like you do with the melee weapons on Left 4 Dead, you can actually control your swings. This doesn't sound like much and it actually sounds confusing at first, but the person playing in the Quick Look - I believe it was Brad - said that he couldn't think of playing the game any other way after he got used to it. Unfortunately, though, he also said he couldn't find this option in the PC version.
I suggest giving the Quick Look a glance to see if you'd like to play that way. He did recommend the 360 version over PC anyway. I just wanted to give you a heads-up on that feature that isn't in the PC version.
EDIT: That other control scheme is in the PC version, it just comes up when a 360 controller is connected. Sorry if I confused anybody.
@believer258:
It is in the PC version, you just need to connect a 360 controller to it (everything is mapped automatically). The PC version has been cleaned up since the QL, it's very stable at the moment (at least for me) and comes with the usual benefits of a multiplatform PC game (AA, AF, screen and shadow resolution etc)
Ah... well, thanks. I was just giving him a forewarning. Editing post now.@believer258:

oh my... i have it on PC, runs perfectly at 60fps with everything maxed (and even for those that were having problems it seems the patches fixed most of it)... so yeah, the 360 is indeed the superior version >_>@spyder335 said:

Great game btw, i agree with everything Brad said. Also, analog is the only way to play, tried mouse and keyboard for 2 secs, couldnt stand it. My only issue with the game? Fucking Xian's reach with blades is too short, those thugs are a pain :(
