So, after watching the DOA Ultimate intro again (the one with MOTHERFUCKING AEROSMITH) I remembered how batshit insane the series was and am really interested in DOA 5. HOWEVER, one of the things I noticed in DOA Dimensions was the move to English VO. Does the NA release of DOA 5 contain Japanese audio? Because I really don't want to have to sit through a game where I have to hear Helena's awful European accent.

Both Dead or Alive 5 and Dead or Alive: Dimensions have a Japanese language option, yes.

I happen to really like the English voices. Helena's silly accent included.

There's a bug in DOA5 where you have to switch to Japanese voices every time you start the game up but they are there.

Yup, I was about to ask for this but I see I'm not the only one. Not that of a big deal because characters only have one line they use, every single time. Really wish they had a more varied set of lines.

Yeah, kinda hate it :/ Hopefully they get it patched asap

Ah hopefully that gets patched, the english voice acting is pretty bad at times.
