Would be a pretty awful game if it had to adhere to the logic behind zombies.

I mean in L4D the guys were resistant against the virus but in DR there doesn´t really seem to be an explanation.

They're not biting you they're kissing you.

Maybe the survivors are immune to it, and just people who aren't turn like Chuck's daughter getting bit by her mom, but she's still normal due to Zombrex.

Well shit, this game is so unrealistic that I have to return it.  I mean the zombies don't die like they do in real life!

Okay, okay. I had this exact same realization playing through Case Zero. It's a game, not much else to say. I'm not sure I'd really be happy with any official explanation from the game anyway.

It was established in the fist game that it's the larvae that turn you into Zambies. You need to be infested by one of them to turn into the walkin' dead. With these zombies their bites just weaken you making it easier for the larvae to get in.

Remember Resident Evil being like that?  Cause it was.

Heres the thing.  I bet that most games story depends on the fact that none of the bullets or sword cuts get the characters and they are getting through unscathed so when it does happen it isn't cannon.  Which is why when you die no one mentions that you came back from the dead.

Well in most games you go through and get shot and stabed and all sorts of other messed up things
But you don't die from them,like in GTA 4 you can get shot with a shotgun and then go eat a hotdog and your perfectly fine again,it's just the way games are,there meant to be fun not insanely hard.
Anyway it's seems a little weird that this game would go for realism,I mean you can make a homemade lightsaber out of gems and a flashlight.

According to Resident Evil canon, only Jill has ever been bitten or clawed by a zombie.

Well in addition to the perfectly reasonable "game logic" excuse, it's also established that different people change at different rates. A certain character gets bitten and takes a few days to change. it's not unreasonable that some people could take 3+ days. You could even use the game logic that a few chomps on Chuck or a survivor don't count for much, that those that turn have been chewed on much more thoroughly. When all of Chuck's HP is depleted, that's when he's been eaten enough to turn. Kind of like how the human bosses take countless gunshots to the head before dying, and how characters in an RPG can be scared of having a gun pointed at them in cutscenes but will get shot endlessly in battles.

The girl's zombies happen to want a bj out of Chuck so there's no biting

You questioning the why for it is as silly as the actual subject.

Also when I shoot a psychopath in the head with a handgun it shouldn't do .02% damage. But it does anyway. These things tend to balance themselves out...
