As stated in the stickied topic in Deadly Premonition's forum, this game is currently on sale for 25% less than its normal price on amazon.com.  However, I never thought it would come to:

I have always said that a lot and I mean A LOT of the games that don't sell at $60 would have instead came out for $40 they would have sold boat loads.  Maybe something like this will teach video game companies to challenge themselves to find the right price point for games that aren't that anticipated.  Who knows maybe for the right price at day 1 a game like Tekken 6 could have had sales better then Modern Warfare 2.....  Yea probably not but I would think Tekken 6 would have sold more games then it did at this point.  My point $60 should not be the price point for every game.

The best part about the increased sales is that Giant Bomb will have much more freedom to do Endurance Runs in the future.

The ER's damn good. The game however? From the albeit limited footage I've seen, it's shit. Why people are purchasing this is beyond me.

Amazon's deals of the day tend to do that.

yeah i wouldn't say this is just giantbomb's doing. The game's on sale and has a 4+ average review score on amazon. You'd be dumb not to get it

I bought my copy today because of the ER.  Playing janky games isn't so great, but playing them with friends is awesome!

This is awesome

I was considering picking up a copy because it was so cheap, but I would much rather watch the GB crew play through it twice.

Despite the low price,  I think I'll be ducking out on this one. The endurance run will tide me over. I still haven't even finished Resident Evil 4, which is a game I'm much more interested in playing; at least, in theory.
