Check out Jeff's profile. It says he unlocked 8 achievements, one of which is the achievement for beating DP on Normal difficulty. How is this possible!?
Deadly Premonition
Game » consists of 11 releases. Released Feb 23, 2010
An open-world action-adventure game following an eccentric FBI agent as he investigates a series of bizarre murders in the small rural town of Greenvale.
Jeff beat Deadly Premonition
He couldn't wait to see how the story played out. That's my guess, at least. Did it in his own time.
" @natetodamax: Much like the original ER, he was playing a seperate save file, on his own time. "So he's already seen the end of the game? What's the point of even doing the Endurance Run then?
I'm guessing he blew through the story and reached the end." @natetodamax: Much like the original ER, he was playing a seperate save file, on his own time. "
Wow Jeff. what happened to the Endurance Run spirit?:P

" They film ahead of time, I believe. Things aren't recorded on the day we see them - so it's feasible they've finished and it's just not rolled around to us as having finished yet. "
This is very possible as well.
I can understand the want for a smooth ER but isnt completing the game before your done a bit too much, im shocked that all his comments will now be pre-thought and not spur of the moment :(
Yup. They've let it''slip'', like, 70 million times already, but, they record these things in advance. They even explicitly said it multiple times on the podcast." @Khantael: This is also absolutely true. Early on in the ER they even slipped and basically said this happened. Although, this might not even be a secret, just something never addressed. "
Oh, never mind, they didn't record in advance this time. If they would, it would have shown up in the search engine. No dice.
Guess Jeff was too curious and tempted:P
It has to be recorded ahead of time. I think they probably spend a whole day recording a weeks worth or something. I think it's quite weird if no one else realised that they can't do endurance run episodes when some of the guys are away on trips....

"Everyone knows they record these in advance, they have even said so often.
But they haven't recorded the entire game, if they would have, a video page for those future Endurance Run episodes would show up in the search engine.
Also, I'm pretty sure it's the save game they use for the ER as Deadly Premonition isn't in Vinny's achievements at all yet it is in Jeff's. So the people worrying reactions will be canned wouldn't need to worry about it if my assumption is right.
Extra for sleuthing? :p
Nah. When something gets recorded, it gets automatically put up on the site for re-encoding. If you ever wanna see how far in advance they record this stuff: just type in VJ/BR <insert number here> and you can see if they recorded it or not. Sometimes they do 3 episodes in advance.
Worked that way for the P4 run as well.

" I thought they changed the posting of pages after everyone started pre-posting on the ER last year. And given schedules they have done a weeks worth of ER in one day before and just held on compiling them. "
You could always still check it before hand through the search engine, though.
OK, if you check the date on which he beat the prologue you'll notice that it says he beat it on April 2nd (3 days before the first VJ ER was posted) which means the VJ ER is played on Jeff's account. I guess VJ already finished their Endurance Run, then. Congrats!
Maybe they already beat the game and are just chopping the ER into pieces and posting it as time goes on.
" @xobballox said:I beat the game with all the side quests done in 12 hours so I don't think that they have 10 hours left. I'd say they have about maybe 4 at the most." So I guess next week is close to the last week for this ER then possibly? "Nah, they have quite a bit of game left. Unless the next 10 episode are going to be hour-long behemoths. "

I took me twice that time :'(
Besides, the GB guys still have a lot to go through, before they reach the end. See how long the rest of the game took them?
I doubt 4 are left. There is still quite a bit after today's episode. I would said 8-9 at most. They might also get stuck on bosses for all we know.

My friends spent only 10 hours on this game. Maybe the GB guys decided to pick up the pace. I really want to believe Jeff didn't beat it in advance. That would really ruin the whole thing for me.
I think they're probably done with the ER. First, high-profile releases are a little slow this month, so they probably wanted to record a bunch because E3 is coming up. Though, if memory serves, there were breaks in the P4 ER, right? I guess it depends on whether they wanted a break from their regularly-scheduled programming.
Yeah, Vinny tried covering it up in the Endurance Run podcast." @Hamz said:
Persona 4 had a back up game?! I WAS RIGHT! THEY CALLED ME CRAZY BUT I WAS RIGHT! "" Backup game like they did with Persona 4 in case bad stuff happened? "
....He forgot, he already confirmed its existence at PAX.:P

Only one. For a week in E3.
I think this has partly to do with them wanting to get through the game quickly, sadly.
Since I've played the game, a good portion of the enjoyment I get from the Endurance Run is witnessing everyone's reactions to everything that happens. If Jeff actually completed it, that would be pretty lame. During the Persona 4 Endurance Run, they tried pretty hard to stay spoiler free. If Jeff likes Deadly Premonition enough to finish it on his own time, I can't imagine that he wouldn't treat it with the same respect that he gave Persona 4.
It's possible that they filmed the rest of the Endurance Run already, but I'm pretty sure that there is still a good ways to go. At least ten hours. Would they seriously film that far in advance?
That's weird. It was closed when I posted it.
I deleted it now so that no one else gets spoiled.
Isn't the game always being played on his profile anyway? Surely if that's the case, it's likely they have finished it for the Endurance Run. Considering that they filmed ahead of time anyway and this time, they will have been more prepared. That being said, the conversation are in line with other sources, like Vinny talking about the Wheelman both on the ER and on the Bombcast.
" @Castro said:It's entirely possible to finish the game in one day, but what of the logistics? Both Jeff and Vinny would have to devote all of that time. I'm not sure how their capture equipment works, but I'm assuming that Drew would have to be there monitoring everything while they were playing. All three of them putting this huge block of time simultaneously to get this whole thing over and done with? Is it possible? Would they bother to do that? I always thought that one of the most awesome parts about the P4 Endurance Run was that we were all able to (kinda, as much as possible) discover everything together.. At least ten hours. Would they seriously film that far in advance? "Its certainly possible. Actually, looking at the achievements, he finished multiple chapters in one day. "
Someone with nothing better to do should see when those achievements were unlocked. Then, they should go and check Jeff, Vinny and Drew's Twitter feeds to see if they posted anything at all during the time in which these achievements were unlocked. After that, they should go and check the Giantbombing, nachoboss and whatever else Xbox Live usernames that are associated with Giant Bomb to see how deep the rabbit hole goes. They could have finished this in February for all we know.
I will just say that I am tickled to no end by the idea that Jeff loved this game so much that he couldn't wait to see how it ended. However, if they actually filmed that much in advance, that's cool too.
Also, I'm slightly inebriated. I just love all of this conspiracy theory stuff so I felt compelled to reply.
