That's weird. Maybe they were a lot farther in than we thought.

He couldn't wait to see how the story played out. That's my guess, at least. Did it in his own time.

Nice find! I guess he was also playing it on his own. It only takes about 12-14 hours to beat the game if you only do the story missions.

They film ahead of time, I believe. Things aren't recorded on the day we see them - so it's feasible they've finished and it's just not rolled around to us as having finished yet.

Does anybody know how far they are in the main story as of Episode 30?

That's dissappointing. Now I know that Jeff's reaction to everything is just canned. I might have to stop watching the ER run now?

I can understand the want for a smooth ER but isnt completing the game before your done a bit too much, im shocked that all his comments will now be pre-thought and not spur of the moment :(

I would doubt that they only play the game in Endurance Run sized chunks. It seem likely to me that they are done making the ER but they are only rolling it out at a steady pace.

It has to be recorded ahead of time. I think they probably spend a whole day recording a weeks worth or something. I think it's quite weird if no one else realised that they can't do endurance run episodes when some of the guys are away on trips....

It destroys us with lust for spoilers, even after the death of the P4 Endurance run.

I thought they changed the posting of pages after everyone started pre-posting on the ER last year.  And given schedules they have done a weeks worth of ER in one day before and just held on compiling them.

Well at least it saves him from having it being spoilled by dicks.

OK, if you check the date on which he beat the prologue you'll notice that it says he beat it on April 2nd (3 days before the first VJ ER was posted) which means the VJ ER is played on Jeff's account. I guess VJ already finished their Endurance Run, then. Congrats!

I'm pretty sure they record these days in advance... so yeah...

So yeah, it just seems they finished the game.  At least with the Persona 4 ER—it being on the PS2—we couldn't see this kind of info and it was kind of a mystery for us, but it doesn't matter that much.

Maybe they already beat the game and are just chopping the ER into pieces and posting it as time goes on.

Nah, they have quite a bit of game left.  Unless the next 10 episode are going to be hour-long behemoths. "

I beat the game with all the side quests done in 12 hours so I don't think that they have 10 hours left. I'd say they have about maybe 4 at the most. "

I doubt 4 are left. There is still quite a bit after today's episode. I would said 8-9 at most. They might also get stuck on bosses for all we know.

I think they're probably done with the ER. First, high-profile releases are a little slow this month, so they probably wanted to record a bunch because E3 is coming up. Though, if memory serves, there were breaks in the P4 ER, right? I guess it depends on whether they wanted a break from their regularly-scheduled programming.

Persona 4 had a back up game?! I WAS RIGHT! THEY CALLED ME CRAZY BUT I WAS RIGHT! "

Since I've played the game, a good portion of the enjoyment I get from the Endurance Run is witnessing everyone's reactions to everything that happens. If Jeff actually completed it, that would be pretty lame. During the Persona 4 Endurance Run, they tried pretty hard to stay spoiler free. If Jeff likes Deadly Premonition enough to finish it on his own time, I can't imagine that he wouldn't treat it with the same respect that he gave Persona 4.

Isn't the game always being played on his profile anyway? Surely if that's the case, it's likely they have finished it for the Endurance Run. Considering that they filmed ahead of time anyway and this time, they will have been more prepared. That being said, the conversation are in line with other sources, like Vinny talking about the Wheelman both on the ER and on the Bombcast.

Its certainly possible.  Actually, looking at the achievements,  he finished multiple chapters in one day. "
