    Overview

    Derby Stallion is part of ASCII Entertainment's series of horse-racing games of the same name. It was released in 1997 and is the first 32-bit game in the series. It was later ported to the Saturn a couple of years later in 1999.

    As with many games in the series, the goal is to raise horses for racing, ideally ones strong and fast enough to compete in Japan's big Grade I races and win. Like all games in the series, it never saw an English localization.
