Fuck, I'm really torn between FWC and Monarchy. I don't even have a Titan but look at that fucking armour.

Dead Orbit has the best shaders, so Jalaal it is. I already own the Pulse, it's pretty decent. If history tells us anything, it is always Dead Orbit for the shaders and Future War Cult that has the best precision weapons, which is my thing. New Monarchy rarely has something good for me.

I don't really care they went with reused armor and weapons again. I grinded hard to get my awesome EDZ Titan armor, now Dead Orbit just has it. I guess at least mine doesn't have ugly logo's on it.

Dead Orbit for the chance at the scout rifle. It pains me because I was a FWC man in Destiny 1.

Dead Orbit. Black Shaders + Peter Stormare's sweet voice is a no brainer.

Do we even know the stats / perks on the weapons being offered yet?

Well, so do I. But if the New Monarchy sidearm is like a full auto Last Hope with better range, or the scout rifle can compete with Mida, or the pulse rifle has laser beam accuracy, I'll be happy to throw my preferences out of the window.

Future War Cult obviously. They got fashion, style, and colour. All my little gay heart needs. Dead Orbit is just too depressing and every person this side of hot topic is going to be using their black shaders so no thanks. And New Monarchy is just garish.

Arach Jalaal is Peter Stormare's character. It would be pretty dumb to bother bringing back this specific character if he wasn't going to have the same voice. Especially since he'd be so easily replaced considering all he really did was hand out patrol missions and spout random lines in the tower

Are there Factions other than Dead Orbit? My 287 Dead Orbit Ranks from Destiny 1 don't remember another Faction.

Who's gonna have the best auto rifle? I feel like good auto's are sorely lacking in this game.

FWC all the way, since I'm a filthy both I feel it's my home. Hunter and FWC, the bots stick together.

@galerian: In all seriousness I'll probably pledge all 3 so that whatever wins I can buy the weapon for 1k glimmer. But I'll probably put the most time into Dead Orbit, though I do want to score some of those weapons from each and those New Monarchy Shaders are looking sexier than they ever have. Add to that the Dead Orbit Shaders don't look near as good as theirs did in D1 and I'm probably just sticking to them for loyalty reasons, so from an outside perspective I'd probably go with New Monarchy if I didn't have those loyalty "obligations" (if you can call anything in a video game that).

In all seriousness, though, I think all three factions have a great look. I levelled up all three in the past, hopping from NM to FWC to DO (where I stayed in the end). If your choice is character-bound, not account-bound, here then I'll most likely do the same thing. However Dead Orbit probably does sway me a little for that scout rifle, as they've been far more appealing to me than most pulses and sidearms in D2 so far.

@hestilllives19: Me too. I am probably gonna follow the same pattern as D1, Warlock = DO, Hunter = FWC, Titan = NM. It will be cool if they acknowledged that my characters are loyal to their faction

Future War Cult baaaaabbbbbyyyyy!

Throughout all of the original Destiny, I devoted myself to FWC. I got all the shaders, the ships, a sweet sparrow, the exotic cape, and enough guns and ammo to outfit every Guardian in the Last City a hundred times over. Even after all of that, I still want to rep FWC.

I will never forsake them.

I love that every faction sounds like a new wave industrial band, but Dead Orbit looks like the true Space Goth option.

I will pledge my characters to all three but I will bounce between Dead Orbit and FWC. I commit to no one.

@spaceinsomniac: Some people have gotten their hands on some of the Faction weapons early, I think from the Cayde chests. Myself I have the New Monarchy Scout (High impact Hakke Scout with; Armor Piercing Rounds or Extended Mag and the new version of Cocoon), and the Dead Orbit Pulse Rifle (High impact EDZ pulse with; Extended Mag or Flared Magwell and Outlaw). I have a friend who has the Dead Orbit Hand Cannon which is an Old Fashioned with Hi-Cal and Triple Tap if I'm remembering right.

Meh. Reskinned versions of existing items isn't a great incentive to give a shit if you ask me.

New Monarchy and Dead Orbit were the only ones with decent shaders. But Dead Orbit always had better guns. So far, that appears to still hold true.

Went with FWC. But yeah, this sucks. More grinding for tokens for faction rep for a chance to get gear that is lower in power than my current gear.

Why didn't they take a page from WOW and give a chance at rare pets/Spark, or mounts? :(

Since I have three characters, I'll go with all three.

But my heart remains with Dead Orbit. Mostly because Peter Stormare, partly because of their loot.

Also, space goths. The little lore entry of the terminal you can find for them is hilarious.

I voted for Future War Cult a few days ago but after playing for a bit today I ended up going with New Monarchy because their warlock armor looks amazing. My heart will always belong to FWC though.

Dead Orbit, because humanity was born on Earth. It was never meant to die here.

I didn't look at the armors, though. I didn't see anything other than a gun available when I talked to each faction leader.

FWC is a no brainer. Best class specific items.
