I know that there has been a lot of confusion on other sites about unlock/release/server times. It might be useful to have all of the information I've found in one place.

Game servers go live at 12 noon GMT / 4 AM PDT / 7 AM EDT on Monday, September 8th

For the US, PSN and Xbox Live digital pre-orders are unlocked at Midnight PDT / 3 AM EDT on Tuesday, September 9th

Anyone with a physical copy can play at any time after game servers go online. Anyone with a digital copy needs to wait for the pre-orders to be unlocked by their respective service.

If anyone has any extra info or conflicting sources, please post.

That info is correct, however it's worth mentioning that XBL and PSN will probably both be down the entire day.

That is an assumption, and not at all useful considering that the game runs on its own servers.

Going to a midnight launch because I really really don't want to wait till 2am my time to play.

@jackel2072: That's what I'm planning on doing, requested a refund from Sony (digital pre-load) once I realized the difference.

By the time you get your copy, get home, install the game and then start it, it will probably be 2am.

@jackel2072: kinda thinking about doing the same thing. I haven't done a midnight release in a long time.

Lesson learned, never pre-order digital. :-(

it usually doesn't matter, but i actually have time off this time.

It's not a "big deal" it just sucks, cuts off time i have to play it. After thursday it could be another month before i get time off again.
