The boys of the Beastcast have apparently said something that the internet is taking seriously. Is this a first? They talked about the trailer for Great Detective Pikachu and their collective desire to have a gruff voiced Danny DeVito play the role in the American translated version.

Looks like that article got their "source" from a certain up-and-coming Wootuber's article on Kotaku.

Not hard to connect the dots there!

@teddie: Hadn't noticed that... though Mr. Klepek was reporting that over 19,000 people had signed said petition at the time of writing, so perhaps he just added fuel to this by reporting it. It seems to have gotten up to steam prior to his article.

Well they mentioned the petition in the Beastcast, so this wasn't their idea.

DeVito as fat Pikachu was kind of an obvious choice, the petition has been around for a few days.

It's the role he was born to play.

I didn't know if it could work and then I watched this trailer.
