On the surface this game appears to be a horror game but I found a lot of the horrific elements aren’t even the real reason you’ll want to play this. Detention's artstyle is simple but striking, especially its use of Taiwanese aesthetics.It took me far too long to get around to playing Detention. Ever since its release in 2017, I was struck by its visual aesthetic, particularly its ties to Taiwanese culture and mythology, and its unique historical setting.
