Soooo...DX:HR is not running well at all. Turned the game settings and settings on my video card down as low as they can go...best I can get it to run is normal FPS unless something is going on, like a fire/sprinkler/emergency lights. Then the FPS goes to shit. Which doesn't make for a good gaming experience at all.

Specs: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series, Intel dual core 2.13GHz, 4GB ram, running 64 bit Windows 7 ultimate.

Anyway, I have absolutely no idea what's wrong/what I'm doing. I figured since games like Mass Effect 2 were running at the highest settings it wouldn't be a problem to run this one. Guess I'll just try and update my video drivers?

radeon 4800 is your problem.  might want to upgrade to a quad core also

Yeah...I think the last thing to be upgraded was the graphics card and more ram, so it's been a while. Updated video drivers, seems to be running much much smoother. Could something like that really be the fix? I need a computers for dummies book or something, haha.

im also having some awful performance in this game. i have a phenom ii x4 940, 4gb ram, radeon 6950. theres choppiness every couple settings no matter what my settings are. i still get shitty performance at 800x600 and all settings at low.
