So I just recently discovered Deus Ex after being a big fan of the sequal for quite some time. For some reason I never actually though to give the first one a go. Now, however, Invisible Wars just seem bland and boring, after several years of it being one of my favorite games of all time.

Anyway that's not the point of this thread.

I started playing on hard, and pretty much breezed through what seems like half the game or so. While it's considerably harder than the sequal, blasting your way through this game doesn't seem too hard. Especially after getting the Dragon's Tooth.

So I decided to give it a go without killing.

    These are my rules:

No killing of enemies. (Bots and beasts excluded)
No luring enemies into turret fire, bots or allies.
No "accidentally" shooting explosive crates or barrels.
No hacking. Lockpicks, Multitools, Nano keys and logins only. (Keys and logins prefered)
LAMs allowed for opening doors if no enemies get hurt.

Now I have a small question if anyone can help me out. The Combat Strength augmentation, does that also increase the effectiveness of non-lethal melee weapons as well, or should I go with Microfibral Muscle instead?

Go with the combat strength and combine it with the stun baton. Makes short work of human opponents. Alternatively, use the stun baton on the back of their heads when you sneak up behind them. Should take 'em down in one blow. Also, using the tranquilizer darts with Advanced or Mastery skill in small arms should instantly knock out any human when aimed at the head.

Note that I've only tried this in normal difficulty so I wouldn't know if it still applies on hard.

Dude, thank you for reminding me how awesome this game is! Best future dystopia game ever! (Aside from Half-Life 2)

So how'd that work out?  I tended to push nonlethal in Thief and Thief II, although I wasn't above luring them into danger.
