My current best time
@blzzzrrttt: You're the only other person on my Steam list playing this game and let me tell you, it's something to work towards.
My best time is 51 seconds. My steam name is ROGamingRyan. I'd love to play this against some people. Don't have the game? Here's a free copy. This copy is meant for somebody who wants it but doesn't have the means. I hope somebody gets it that will enjoy it. Please add me and let's compete!

@upperdecker: Got it. Thanks. I was kinda holding out on buying until if/when they added some kind of campaign mode or something. But I guess I'm gonna go play it now.
@upperdecker: Got it! thanks!
I want the world to know I beat @beachthunder on time. barely. but i beat him.
I want the world to know I beat @UpperDecker on time. Barely, but I beat him.
broke into the 40s and my heart is still racing. This game is GREAT!
Edit: To add me with ease, my Steam id is neajamron, but I will show up has "Monkey Man" and have the same avatar I have here.

I am slowly starting to get there. I am getting to the big flying snake most times and I am working towards clearing out enough that I can collect those red gems before another spider shows up and steals all my potential gems. I hate those spiders.
Last run of the night, I keep focusing too much on the centipede thing and get blind sided when new spawners spawn
@fobwashed: Have any of the Giant Bomb crew beat you yet? Or are they still way behind?
I finally cracked 400 seconds, putting me at #7 on the global leaderboards. I put the run up on youtube with annotations on the most consistent ways I found to clear everything up until the chandelier fight:
Please excuse the cursor in the middle of it, I'm too lazy to fix that and reupload.
:o I think I'm really starting to get the hang of this. I finally got the first upgrade and a 60+ time.

Brad has gotten close.
@waterivesi: Damn dude, I was only able to watch a couple of minutes, but that tip about getting the gems is huge for me!
Thanks for posting this, can't wait to watch the whole thing.
Anyone know is there any new enemy or anything past the dreaded bone chandelier? Not that I'll ever get there myself...

The store page promises 13 enemy types. If we're being generous and count Infesters, infester pods and infester bugs as 3 separate enemies and the 2 different sized spawners as 2 enemy types as well then the total of currently known enemy types is 10. Purgers, Sacrificers, Swarmers, Dismemberers, Infesters, Infester pods, Infester bugs, Eviscerators, Big Eviscerators and the Chandelier. If we're counting the red versions of skulls the chandelier spawns the number is 11. Unless I'm forgetting something there should be at least 1 new enemy type past the chandelier nobody has gotten to yet.
Just got to 175.
I feel like I'm finally getting consistently better now that I understand what the spider does and when to use the shotgun. It still feels pretty manageable, I just need improve my strategy for the worm.
I generally get to around 55 seconds consistently, but I always fail in the same way, getting completely overwhelmed when I try and take down the giant spiderskullthing.
This game is great at reminding me how much my FPS skills have diminished over the years, but wow, what a game it is.
I hit the same barrier. My way around that was to practice using the shotgun more. I find that it does a better job at killing all the enemies in the beginning. Less enemies in the beginnning means that I don't have to worry about being swarmed when the spider comes. Then four or five good shots with the shotgun and spiders done for.
@monetarydread: I'm definitely not an expert, but I find that about a second of constant firing while moving towards the spider, then one shotgun round when up close works pretty well.
@beachthunder: Oh yeah, definitely. I have short burst and one shotted the spider a few times now. I am terrible at getting the leading proper on the short burt though. SOmetimes I get it right on, and sometimes I am terrible. I have a habit of using short sweeping motions when firing, sort of like you need to do in Geometry Wars, and this works wonders on everything but those spider dudes.
