Found Leoric's Ring in Act 2 normal. It's my first play through and I'm only 30 hours in.

I got my first legendary on act 3 of Hell. It was a shield that was completely useless for my demon hunter. Oh well It is on the auction house for fairly cheap so I should get some petty cash out of it.

Act III Hell and not a single one. That said I have no magic find on my gear.

Approximately 100 hours played across 2 characters.

0 Legendaries.

Finished nightmare and none thus far

Act II of Hell and no legendaries so far. In fact I've resorted to using the AH to fill most of loot - all my blues and yellows found by my Wizard have been DH or Barb gear lately. Haven't found a new upgrade through a drop in probably 10 levels. Lots of sweet looking quivers and shields though.

Ok so Blizzard will be buffing the Legendary items, but it doesn't say anything on improving drops for them.

I've had amazing luck with finding Legendaries. I've found 10 Legendaries (keep in mind I'm a no-life nerd that has basically played D3 for 2 weeks straight) and all but 1 have been absolutely useless in every sense of the word. Bul-Kathos' Wedding Band was the only decent one I found and that is outclassed easily by rare rings. Honestly, seeing a Legendary drop is cool for about a second, I'd take a high-tier rare instead.

Edit: Granted this wasn't on one playthrough... this is over a few characters since release.

I am on act 1 inferno, have not seen one yet.

One in Act 3 of Nightmare? It was a pair of pants for a Barb that I sold for 350k.

Of course they won't be increasing the droprate, you have to MF for them. I'm curious, did you ever play Diablo II at endgame? The reason that most people in this thread haven't found any is because most people aren't stacking MF while they level. And by stacking, I'm talking 200% before Nephalem stacks.

I played and finished both Diablo 1 and 2 when they came out years ago. But i'm not one of those people who will keep playing the game through 4-10 times just to get to max level or to find matching sets or anything. And the whole PvP aspect is wasted on me.

The excitement of finding a Legendary is probably short-lived in most cases. But at least you have been incredibly lucky finding so many, that often 9-10 times more than others have found it seems.

I found a legendary item somewhere in act 2 on normal and remember trashing it cause it looked really really bad, way worse that whatever I was using at the time or a poor combination of stats (thanks to random properties?) like heavy vital and intel or something nuts.

Not until halfway through nightmare mode. And i also had 2 other characters in act 2 &3

I found my first at the end of Act 3 Hell and another on a second character near the middle of act 3 normal.

None yet and I'm two thirds of the way through Nightmare.

The poor itemisation is really killing my urge to play at the moment. Disappointing that they got one of the key pillars of Diablo so wrong.

Up to Inferno Act I, defeated Leoric, haven't found a single one.

Even if they suck, this is just ridiculous. In fact it's put a damper on me looking forward to killing bosses, unlike D2, where I would actually have a few set items and uniques by now.

I've found 3 legendaries, two low level belts and a mid-level Witch Doctor helmet. I'm on Act II Hell

0 over 3.5 playthroughs :(

i'm level 55 and havent found a single one

Act III normal...just got a "Broken Crown". Too bad my current yellow has way better stats lol...

Halfway through Nightmare, and still not a single Legendary drop.

I had no drops in normal, 1 in nightmare act 2 and then another in act 3, and the third dropped in hell act 3. Legendaries doesn't drop as much it seems as they did in D2, but i guess that's what you get from an item category called legendary :D

I found two before act 4 on my first normal playthrough. Haven't found any since.

the problem with legendaries in D3 is that they are also level based so the OP's legendary is pretty worthless really, until you start getting level 50+ items anything thats orange will still be garbage

Legendaries don't drop on normal I thought. I didn't see one until the end of act 2 on hell difficulty.

Just started inferno and the only legendary I have dropped in normal. Pretty sure it dropped in act one but I may be wrong, either way its been a while.

Just found these two whilst messing around Whimsyshire (Hell difficulty) with a MF of 110%.

About god damn time too. I've been playing for 250+ hours and Inferno mode is kicking my ass hard.

Act 3 on nightmare and none so far.

None from playing singleplayer, but instantly got one really bad legendary helmet when I tried multiplayer (Act 2, normal). I'm keeping it in my stash to see if it ever gets buffed.

One, The Zweihander. [URL="http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/the-zweihander"][/ URL] Got it in Act 3 normal on my Barbarian, it was far inferior to what I was rocking at the time.


I've only found 1 and 1 set item. Both dropped in inferno.

That said, some of them are pretty good for certain things. Lacuni prowlers and Boj Anglers are effing amazing.

I had my first legendary drop yesterday. Nightmare, Act 3.

It was a bow and being a demon hunter I was psyched. It turned out to be Etrayu which is a nice weapon, but not nearly as nice as the bow I was already using.

Just got my first one in ACT 2 on Nightmare.

Too bad it basically sucks, but was still exciting to see it drop.

Act 1 inferno, 93 hrs in, so far only 1 legendary.

And the legendary that dropped was the same helmet I bought a few minutes earlier from the AH, so the joke was on me.

None so far. Nearing the end of Act IV on Normal.

I didn't get any legendary items on my play through...

I only got one and it suuuuuuuucked.

50 hours in I found one legendary amulet and two set items. One of the set items was removed after I got hacked though.

Zero on my first Normal run, but some boots dropped off a random little demon in the spire on Nightmare. They look very cool equipped but I already had a rare w/better stats. That's the part I don't get, as rare as they are, legendary items should have some 'legendary' stats that match them and that you can wear w/pride in co-op runs.

Only managed to find one during my first playthough: broken crown.

I got 2 so far. Both in act 2 normal. Im only about lvl 30.

over 100hrs in, 0 legendary or set item drops

On about 54 hours 0 legendary or set items sigh

80 hours played and got two so far. Once in act 4 normal and the other on an inferno butcher run. Think I had 5 stacks for the second drop.

I have 1 lvl 58 on Hell, on 45 on Nightmare, one 26 on Normal and one HC 45 on Nightmare and not a single legendary yet :)

From what I understand Legendarys work the same way as any other item, so the stats are random to a degree ... what makes them unique is the look. So you would have to be double lucky to get a good legendary ... first to actually find one and second to find one with good stats.

Posted earlier in the thread about not finding a single piece. Well, with a lot more hours put into the game I've now found 3. One on Hell difficulty and two on Inferno. Neither of them anything special, and only one of them a level 60 legendary. I still have that one which I'll put up on the RMAH when it's available, and in hindsight I wish I saved the other two to sell there as well since it seems people with money will buy anything on that AH.
