Blizzcon starts tomorrow afternoon. What do you think the chances are they drop a release date?? They have three Diablo panels. Gameplay, Crafting Sanctuary and an Open Q & A. I don't think they will announce a date, they don't really say dates far in advance very often but I would like to have one.

That woukd be awesome, but as you say, Blizzard are not big on announcing dates. Not that it would mean anything anyway. If they come out tomorrow and say Fall 2011, I'm not sure I'd believe it. They wouldn't be lying of course, they just wouldn't hit it.

would be sweet if they did but it's doubtful. prolly will see how much they have improved the game and the characters and also see a new character and a new area more than likely with a cutscene. i think they will spend more time on warcraft and starcraft TBH. especially with cataclysm being real soon and with the big starcraft 2 match to be happening there.

Have they even released the 5th class yet? I want to believe the release date will come, but I wouldn't say I'm expecting it exactly.

They'll announce the last class for Diablo 3. That'll be all. 
 
One new class was the only thing they announced at Blizzcon 2008. 2010 will be the same, as they are between games.

They'll show us a new character if we're lucky. A release date? Don't count on it.

Diablo 3 will be released Holiday 2011 at the absolute earliest. More likely will be Q2 2012.

They'll probably just show a new character.

Not they won't annouce the release date now but the game will be coming out in summer or holiday 2011. No doubt about it.
