Barbarians in games are often known for their brute strength, large size compared to normal humans, appetite for meat and ale, general crudeness, and prowess in melee combat.
Launched by Blizzard in 1997, this service provides a solid online foundation to Blizzard's franchises such as the Diablo, StarCraft and WarCraft series. As a constantly evolving service, a new version, Battle.net 2.0, was released in 2010 with the release of Starcraft 2.
A common character class / archetype in role-playing games and fantasy. They are often less chivalric than your average Knight-errant, generally being depicted as either archetypal villains (such as a Dark Lord), or troubled and ruthless anti-heroes.

A paladin is a holy warrior, who gains extra abilities through faith and devotion to a deity.

The act of taking on an in-game task; most often, these are provided to the player by an NPC. MMOs and RPGs are the primary users of this concept.
Though a somewhat less common archetype than black knights, red-armored knights still show up now and again in Fantasy works and elsewhere. Like Black Knights, they are often (though not always), portrayed as malevolent.
