Dick Tracy is a long running comic strip about a hard-hitting, no nonsense, and highly capable police detective in The City, a stylized and exaggerated version of Chicago. Created in the 1930s, the strip continues to be published today.
There have been 5 games based on the franchise so far, all of them in the early 90s around the time of the Dick Tracy motion picture staring Warren Beatty. While only the home computer game from Titus tied directly into the plot of the movie, all of them drew heavily upon its designs and aesthetic rather than those of the comic.
