    Dimmu Borgir is a black metal band that was originally formed in 1993 in Oslo, Norway. Their name is derived from the Dimmuborgir volcanic rock formations in Iceland, and also means "Dark Cities" or "Dark Fortresses."

    Presence in Video Games

    Dimmu Borgir contributed to the soundtrack of the upcoming PC game Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. The trailer for the game features their song "Blood Hunger Doctrine."
