Dirk is one of the few dwarves in the world of Sylvarant, and one of only a mere two to make an appearance in the entire Tales of Symphonia game. He lives in the woods just out of Iselia. He is Lloyd's adoptive father and has taught Lloyd every value he deems important. He's much kinder and more gentle than other dwarves set in this universe, but he still has a harsh tone that can make him come off as highly aggressive. He loves his son, though, and did his best to teach him each and every one of the Dwarven Vows. Lloyd only worked so hard to learn these vows when Dirk would keep meals from him.
