    The Diskarmor weapon is attached to Rygar's wrist by a chain. Crudely described as a yo-yo/mace.

    In the arcade version of Rygar, the Diskarmor can be upgraded by picking up upgrade tokens (called shields) that drop from the sky after destroying a certain number of enemies. All upgrades are lost when the player dies but can be regained. Weapon upgrades include the length of the weapon (star shield), the power of the weapon (crown shield), the vertical thrust of the weapon (sun shield).
