    Dissidia Final Fantasy NT (2018 - PS4)

Edit: Developed by Team Ninja and Tecmo Koei

Dissidia: Final Fantasy (2015) came out in arcades in 2015 (announced in February, released in November) and I've been clamouring to play it for two years now. The arcade machines were described as running on modified-PS4 hardware. The Controls in Japanese arcades are basically ripped apart PS4 controllers:

The result has been people waiting for the eventual PS4 reveal... and it's finally happened! It was initially guaranteed 1-year arcade exclusivity, followed by the announcement that development on a console version was on hold while Final Fantasy XV was finished. So a console version in the West was looking a long way off until they mentioned development of a story mode for a potential console version earlier this year.

This was the one announcement I was realistically hoping for and expecting at E3 this year... so my E3 has been made before it's even begun. I can't tell you how excited I am to play a fighting game in my favourite location in any game: Besaid from Final Fantasy X:

I was never a fan of the style they went with here (and still sure ain't). Looks like generic Koei Tecmo 3D.

But as long as the game feels like the PSP games I'm liable to play a ton of this. Regular-ass Dissidia is probably one of my most played games, but this being different devs has me worried.

Cool to see Y'shtola in this at least.
