So far I am really liking the dialogues and narrator. They did a much better job then in the first game in my opinion. I was unsure about the narrator at first but he does deliver his lines in a suitable tone that is starting to grow on me. Even the accidental lines of NPC's are much better then in the first game.

I love the narrator, it really gives that whole pen and paper roleplaying vibe.

All the other voice acting is fantastic as well although I wish the voices matched the sort of character more, The Red Prince could have sounded more like a lizard instead of a regular dude and the undead like Fane also sounds like a normal dude while it would have been cool if he cackled more, more skeleton like or something.

@ravelle: I dunno I don't think there's a voice that could more accurately convey the Red Prince than what he has, which is sheer insufferable arrogance made manifest.

His delivery is perfect, no doubt but he's a lizard so I expected him to hiss while talking. ;p

I turned narrator audio off immediately and generally speaking I read the dialog faster than the voice actors can talk so I end up just clicking through it. I appreciate that they've added full VO for people who want it but, honestly, when it comes to isometric RPGs I'm perfectly happy with just text.

Really love the introduction and the character voice acting so far. My favorite is Fane, his "I'm confused and bewildered by everything I'm seeing" schtick is fun. The way he interacts with everyone is great, something tells me I might have to kill him someday.

Also playing the early access version I was under the impression that it won't have any voice acting which is a great surprise to see it has a ton of VO.

I think it's fantastic, I read faster, but I always wait and listen, because it's more immersive and it's my way of giving respect and recognition to the voice actors and devs. This game is absolutely huge and voice acting is a ton of work, so I would feel bad skipping stuff.
