Somewhere along the way I lost my furry friend. I feel extra guilty because I don't even know how it happened and I didn't even talk to him or her. I just know this will come back and haunt me later on but I think my party has to move on.

This game has so many moments were you find yourself doing less then heroic things be it willingly or inadvertently. I ratted a guy out to avoid getting hurt, I killed a blind man and now I lost my cat. I haven't even left Fort Joy and I already feel like my character has more emotional bagage then loot. I freaking love this game!

Phew, man, at first glance I was afraid this thread was created in "Off topic".

I accidentally had the cat die and reloaded a quick save just to get it back.

I'm not sure if there are multiple ways for it to die or not, but the way it happened for me is that I wandered up to the main gate into the fort and one of the archers stationed there took it out with a single arrow and said something about black cats being bad luck.

Mine was tragically murdered by the Fort Joy guards when I touched the exit gate. Seemed like a bit of an overreaction to me.

    RIP furry pal.

Walk around a bit and maybe the cat will be there after all. I thought I lost mine somehow too but soon after he/she just came back. The cat often just runs away, especially when I used some magick. Maybe not all is lost and yours will return too!

My cat got turned into a pile of ash. I chalked that one up to collateral damage.

I found the poor thing at the fort entrance. Tried a resurrect scroll but apparently you can't resurrect felines. I am murdering every magister in the fort for vengeance. But I fear no amount of murdering will fill the void that cat left...

I walked through a poison cloud and it died. I did not mourn the loss of the cat.
