Other than the insane amount of screen tearing (I'm about to go to the nvidia control panel, but I'm guessing there will be a patch to fix this), this game is running beautifully at 1080p all maxed out.

Expect a good amount of these shots to be opening stuff cuz I only just now installed it.

EDIT: OK, so enabling v-sync through the control panel fixed the screen tearing problem. Looks like the in game v-sync toggle is just broken. Now the game is running perfectly.

I had this game on my 360. Played it about 25 hours, until I purchased a steam copy this morning. Holy fucking shit the difference is unbelievable. This is not even the same experience to me.

@Klei: The 60 frames really makes the difference.

Man...I want the PC version now but....If I'm throwing $50 at a game right now I'd rather it be Ni No Kuni but... damn I wanna see these pretty 60fps.

Getting the DMC pack on steam for $60 has been well worth it.

-Devil may Cry 3: bad port, good game after some work.

-Devil may Cry 4: Akward, but lovable.

-The "new" DMC... *drools* ...so good...

Having a blast with all of them.

@Demoskinos: It was like $32 on greenman gaming, that's the only reason why I bought it this early.

I think this will be one of those games I get back to when I get around to setting up my PC in my living room. Definitely looks like a couch and controller affair.

I'll vouch for that. He also seems, in a weird way. far more likable than the bits of him we've seen in trailers and such. Some moments have genuinely made me laugh so far, and I'm only on mission 5 or 6.

I get that. The game does have feel cohesive. He fits the game but I don't like his dialogue with a couple exceptions. Plus the way he reads his lines can be annoying. Such smugness in his voice.

Yeah he's great. He's just cocky and arrogant enough without sounding like a douche to me. So far he's way more interesting than old Dante.

@ImmortalSaiyan: You don't have to like the character to enjoy the game, his demeanor fits the tone of the game for me, that's why I like it more than previous installments.

@BestUsernameEver: I know that. Dante is ok as a character. I found the old Dante amusing while this one kinda just brash. He grows somewhat over the game at least. I think the game is great despite some issues I have with the story and combat.

I like the new Dante as well as the old one. The new Dante fits the theme of the game and has some interesting moments but the old Dante had some really great scenes too (if you like the style). Like this one:

I think my liking of the old Dante is just a symptom of preferring the tone of DMC3 and 4. I liked the over the top silliness. If the new Dante acted like the old it would be out of place. In someways I feels they stuck too closely to the old character. With his awful one liners during some bosses.

Only shot I've taken, I'm getting a pretty steady 120-140 fps, settings maxed, very minimal screen tearing. Only noticed it in a couple spots, other than that seems to run flawlessly so far. only played for an hour.

I have been noticing the camera getting stuck on the environment, when I'm panning around, only in tight spots for the most part, I'm pretty sure it's intentional so the camera doesn't clip through walls and such. Not too big a deal, but takes a little getting used to.

Hopefully the pack will still be available for a little while. I wouldn't mind digging into DMC3 again, even though the "bad port" part is saddening.

Man I just started playing it on my laptop, game looks gorgeous at over 60 fps, not a demanding game whatsoever

The Controls for PC DMC3 are terri-bad if you want to use a 360 controller; pretty much unplayable. But you can fix it with joytokey, I can post a full tutorial if anyone needs.
