    DmC Devil May Cry is a reboot of the series from developer Ninja Theory, featuring a redesigned Dante and a new take on the franchise's fiction.

    Something that a lot of people are overlooking in this.

    I'll be honest, I had no idea Devil May Cry was so close to people's hearts until now.  Ninja Theory may not have "proven themselves" worthy of it, but I'm not exactly scandalized by Capcom's decision to farm it out. When a franchise becomes as creatively bankrupt as DMC4, I really don't think there's anywhere to go but up.

    Creatively bankrupt in what way?  While DMC4 wasn't the most original game, it was still a good game.  If any game in the series should have prompted a reboot, it would have been the abortion that was DMC2.

    @Hailinel: It was half a game made to resemble a whole game. I can't think of anything less inspired than that. Anyway, if your point is that DMC2 was bad...well, abortion seems a tad excessive, but I like where your head's at.

    Creatively bankrupt in what way?  While DMC4 wasn't the most original game, it was still a good game.  If any game in the series should have prompted a reboot, it would have been the abortion that was DMC2.
    DMC4 was a good game but it was clear they needed to bring something new to the table
