(Lets try to keep this discussion civil without people bitching)

Now I can understand why alot of people has issues with Ninja Theory's upcoming DMC game. At the beginning I wasn't feeling the new direction that the series was going either. But after watching the more recent vids got me more interested in the game. Though the way they have Vergil in this game still hasn't grew on me yet. He seems more like a punk compared to DMC 3. But outside of that this game seems like it plays similar to the other DMC games.

So for me I'm willing to give this game a fair chance. I'm not going to jump to conclusions and judge the game before I play it. If this game ends up being pretty good then people will probably bite there words, and end up respecting Ninja Theory. But if this game turnsout bad then Ninja Theory will have there hands full when they receive the backlash. People will probably want to see Ninja Theory never make a DMC game ever again, if they mess this game up.

I have no problem with all the new directions they're taking. I hope Ninja Theory succeeds. I encourage the change to the game.

I've seen nothing to flip out over. I'll definitely try the game out before passing judgment.

I always thought from the beginning that it would probably be a fairly quality product. People just have to pull their heads out of their asses and be open to different things.

At times I kinda wish the series left off where DMC 2 ended, or have another game with Nero to flush out the story. But the reboot is fine with me.

I'll give it a fair chance. I was really bummed when it was announced that Ninja Theory was working on it because I abhorred the combat in Enslaved and Heavenly Sword, but after seeing gameplay videos it looks like it could be alright. I don't think it will live up to DMC3's combat, but it could still be pretty fun.

I hope the game is good, even though I strongly detest the games that Ninja Theory makes.

I am really looking forward to this game actually, because after Heavenly Sword and Enslaved I think no matter how good this game ends up, the developer will at least make something interesting. I think the backlash against the changes is kind of ridiculous too, Capcom asked them to do it, and Dante was a shitty character, especially as the series went on.

Yes. Only because I stopped giving a shit about that franchise after game 1.

For me the only game that I didn't like Dante much in was in DMC 2. They messed up his personality bad in that game. Other then that I always liked Dante's character.

Nope. I'm too attached to old Dante. Don't much care for the new art direction/style shift, and I think DMC was already pretty much perfected in 3 anyways.

I will, the franchise is good. I have to admit that I was whining like a baby back bitch when I first saw the character design, but it's because he looks like Hilary Swank in that one movie.

yes, because i'm not the type of person to have a shit fit over petty stuff like character design and the studio making it.

I'm looking foward to it. I like the new punk Dante. He seems like a more fleshed out character.

You mean I can't throw dirt on it's eyes?... whatever I still play it , looks fun and crazy like DMC I didn't care about the look of the new Dante but I've come arround.

The only Ninja Theory game I played was Enslaved. By no means it wasn't a bad game I enjoyed it, but I felt like it was lacking gameplay wise. I just hope in this new DMC that the gameplay is worthwhile. By the looks of things it seems like its going to be fun.

I prefer the new look so yes !

Boys Don't Cry had a sad ending I remember that movie.

More than a chance, I'm genuinely excited for it. Yes the Dante looks different, so what? He really doesn't look that bad, it's a different take on the character, he still seems to have the same attitude. His back story is different but was his story so great in the originals? Not really. I really have liked Ninja Theories game concepts and for the most part execution so if they can do a good job on the combat(which it seems they have) this should turn out really well. While I do wish it was more metal styled than punk/hardcore styled it still looks good.

No. I will buy it sight unseen. I have great respect for Ninja Theory, and I really did not like the original Devil May Cry, so I am totally prejudiced for this game. If they were just making Devil May Cry 5 I wouldn't have given that a fair chance either, I wouldn't even have bothered to download a demo.

I understand. I'm sure Ninja Theory will give a more in depth look for Dante in this game. I'm interested in seeing how his character will turnout aswell.

Honestly, people on this website miss out on the polls feature way too often.

When we first started getting details about this game (e.g. Dante's new look, the fact that it was going to be a reboot) I thought I wasn't likely to get it, but after seeing some gameplay videos and the FREAKING AWESOME art style that Ninja Theory imparted into this game, I've seriously changed my mind. Some if not all of the levels shown look stunning, just pure eye-candy, and then the way they've shown some of them twist and change in nightmarish ways, it sold me.

Yes, I will give it a fair chance. I'll see some reviews and see what people are saying, Enslaved was excellent and Heavenly Sword was ok from the few chapters I played. DMC 3 was an amazing game, just a bit too much of "cheap" hard rather than ninja gaiden level of hard but fair. DMC 4 was great but nothing too special to right home about, so I am optimistic about this one.

Heck yes. Really like Ninja Theory, new Dante is cool, the only thing that ever gave me pause is wondering if NT can get the combat right. Aside from that bring it on.

The changed character design has never really bothered me, if anything they reigned it in a bit too much after that first trailer I thought. I was worried about the gameplay however, despite never having gotten deep into the systems before, and I am still a bit cautious. I'll pay attention to reviews, gameplay videos and people's reactions once it comes out and make my decision then.

I didn't know that a sequel to enslaved was canceled that's kinda surprising. The way the game ended off I would have liked to see a sequel.

I haven't given any of them a fair chance, honestly. I'll have to play the other 4 games first.

If you decide to get into the series play DMC 2 last.

It wasn't terrible but it could have been alot better then what it is....
