The Dodge Viper RT/10 was Dodge’s first supercar that inspired the Shelby Cobra that was produced and tested in January 1989. In 1991, it debuted as two pace cars in the Indianapolis 500 raceway and sold it on January 1992.

The Dodge Viper’s engine was V10 LA small engine block that was developed by Lamborghini (well known to the Diablo) engine designer, Dick Winkles who spent time checking the Viper’s engine mechanics of the performance.
