I really want to like this game but am having a specific problem with it. When ever I am moving to the side slightly it slows the character movement down and breaks up the fast paced nature of the game.

Did anyone else noticed this? Did it bug you? If it did how did you get past it?

Never noticed it personally. This game is the BEST!!!!

Honestly, never noticed or thought about it. It felt great to me and I was able to pull off some pretty neat stuff throughout.

I haven't played since launch and i am on pc with a gamepad, but i dont think strafing is ment to be as fast as back and forth. But i do remember being able to dodge left and right quite easily. Maybe it's a sensitivity setting?

Did you paly on PC first and then on console? I only played on PS4 so I'm not really able to say other than I loved it on PS4.

Strafing, even on PC, slows you down slighty. The fastest movement speed is when you are simply running forward.

Run forward, forward-left, or forward-right instead of to the left or right and do most of your turning with the right stick.

I feel like most first person shooters are slightly faster when moving forward than in moving any other direction.

@bmccann42: I didn't but the left to right didn't feel too smooth. Like sometimes it makes me stop . Almost like an fps dip

I played it on both Xbox1s and PC and had a blast both times. Can't say I had a problem with the motion of the DOOM marine.

@justin258: I think I'll try and get used to constantly moving the right stick and give it another go on my weekend

The only real problem I had on Xbox One was that it eneed and I can't get the wonderful feeling back on subsequent playthroughs.

Kidding aside, I haven't noticed any issues on my PS4 playthrough.
