    Overview

    Doraemon Nobita no Dorabian Nights is a platformer released exclusively on the Japanese PC Engine and later again on its CD-ROM peripheral. It is loosely based on the 12th Doraemon movie of the same name released earlier in 1991, in which Doraemon, Nobita, Suneo, and Gian rescue their friend Shizuka after she vanishes somewhere in 8th-century Arabia during a previous time-travel adventure.

    The game expands out from the Arabian setting of the movie, including various other time periods like prehistory, medieval Europe, and ancient China around the time of the construction of the Great Wall. As well as platforming, players can take part in mini-games scattered throughout levels to acquire extra items such as 1-Ups.
