Backstab is a skill utilized most commonly by rogues. By attacking from behind an opponent, backstabs significantly increase the damage dealt. Sometimes a backstab can mean a one hit kill.
An attack that does more damage than usual, usually affected by random chance and some sort of modifier.
A powerful release of energy. This energy is usually expelled in all directions very quickly, typically giving off orange or red flames.
A game concept derived from implementing pen & paper mechanics into video games such as Neverwinter Nights. A "natural 20" occurs when a player rolls a 20 on a 20-sided dice. A player can experience rolling a natural 20 in video games when dice rolls are implemented into combat or world mechanics.
