    Overview

Double Moon Densetsu is a roleplaying game developed for the Nintendo Entertainment System by Amusement and Dennou Kenkyusho and ORG, both of which never developed anything else afterwards. It was published in Japan by Masaya on October 30th, 1992.

Based upon its namesake which was a play-by-mail game serialized in Marukatsu Famicon and later Marakatsu Super Famicon, the game is for the most part a fairly standard roleplaying game of the time and draws inspiration from games such as Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy. The game's narrative also sticks close to defined conventions as a young hero named Yuuru leaves his village to stop an evil demon lord Samoirenko who threatens to summon a dark Dragon and end the world.
