Dr. Mario Express is a portable entry into the classic franchise of the same name. The game made its way onto Nintendo's DSiWare downloadable service on April 20, 2009 in the United States at a price of 500 DSiWare points ($5 US). It retains the classic gameplay found in Dr. Mario titles from the past, although it does lose some of the enhancements found in the WiiWare release, Dr. Mario Rx. These omissions include any form of multiplayer functionality.
