Origins had pretty terrible DLC. You really want more of that?

This is a game that really needs DLC, while this isn't the Awakening-type expansion I think is necessary given the ending, I'll take any DLC over moving on without saying anything.

@shinigami420: Oh you speak for all of us do you? I would actually love some DLC for this game

Hey I know it wasn't nearly as good as Origins story or structure wise but damn I loved the fast paced gameplay

DA2 is a game desperately in need of a coda. It doesn't seem like this is it, though.

I should've chosen my words more carefully. I meant that it's pre-climax, not an epilogue to the main game like I and I'm sure many others were hoping.

Well I may as well get the DLC, since I still have the game. Shoulda traded it in while it was still new.

Can both siblings die? If they can, don't worry, Bioware don't have much respect for death.

@JustTheDoctor: Here I was hoping for some post game DLC to help wrap up that ridiculously abrupt ending. I'll still buy this as DA2 wasn't a terrible game, and i'll be interested in seeing what they attempt to do with the content for this game.

But this is a bit disappointing to see.

You can play the DLC with your post game save so it's possible that you can use your sibling in your party then.

They're always still around in some capacity though aren't they? ie. they could be written back into the party just for the DLC.

Unless they pull a Leliana again, I don't think everyone will see Hawke's relatives return.

    Pass.
I had enough repetitive combat in the main game.
Maybe they should have spent the effort required for this DLC on making proper environments in DA2

Not in any way that wouldn't be supremely awkward, given that if they don't die, they either:

    A. Get carted off to become a Grey Warden.
    B. Bethany is captured and sent to a Mage's Circle.
    C. Carver up and joins the Templars.

I'll definitely give this DLC a shot. Somehow, despite a really middling first impression after my first playthrough, I find myself replaying DA2 repeatedly at the moment. Despite all its significant flaws, it's still a pretty good game.

I was about to make a topic complaining about why there hasn't been any announcements for any future plans for this game, but it's good to know that my "BioWare points" will go to waste very soon.

Not going back to that game- finished it but blah; lets just say 100+ hours into DA:O - 26 hours into DA2

How is it terrible writing?  Just because you lost a character that you liked to have in your party doesn't make it terrible writing.

First one dies (Carter in my case, but I didn't care much for him anyway) in the beginning of the game depending on your class and the other dies if you bring him/her along to the Deep Roads Expedition... I really felt bad for losing Bethany, but I read that if I wouldn't take her with me she would leave my party anyway (Until the very end) because of ridiculous story behind it. Terrible writing.
How is it terrible writing? Just because you lost a character that you liked to have in your party doesn't make it terrible writing.

No, the terrible writing is bringing a dead character back without any sort of justification. Even if Leliana died in your Dragon Age: Origins save, she shows up at the very end of Dragon Age II.
