I found this out on the Xbox.com DAO forums last night. If you buy your copy of Awakening off the EA Store, you can get a $20 discount. Once you add the game to your cart, you'll see a spot where it says Enter Promotional Code, enter PAXEAST842 there. I was on the fence about getting the expansion seeing as how I thought the game was a little dull, but 20 bucks off isn't a bad deal. All together I'm paying 30 bucks (after S&H) for what would have cost 40 (plus tax) in stores.

Sweet. Will the expansion work if I bought the original game from Steam?

No idea, I own it for 360. I'd suggest asking on the EA forums. I don't see why it wouldn't as I think the PC-version of Awakening bought off EA is just a redeemable code.

I downloaded the expansion, and for anyone who was wondering, EA Store's digital copy of Awakening does work with the Steam copy of Dragon Age: Origins

@Tearhead:  No it dosn't. Steam games have steam expansions.
EA products aren't compatible with steam as they're opposing vendors.

You might want to refer to my previous post. Both EA Store digital and retail copies of Awakening works with the Steam version of Dragon Age: Origins. However, the Steam copy of Awakening ONLY works with the Steam version of Dragon Age: Origins.

I just received my copy. I ordered it Sunday night, and it arrived today (Wednesday). I cost me 20 for the game, plus 6.99 for S&H. I guess S&H changes depending on how far you are from where its shipped (says Louisville KY).

That sounds pretty awesome. Maybe I'll wait and pick up the new Fifa game in April with the code.
