Where is the love for this game??? This game looks amazing, why is no one talking about it on the forums?
Dragon Ball: Raging Blast
Game » consists of 7 releases. Released Nov 10, 2009
A spiritual successor to the "Budokai Tenkaichi" fighting game series based on the Dragon Ball manga and anime series, bringing Spike's gameplay to seventh-generation consoles.
Wheres the love???
I really enjoyed Burst Limit. I thought it was a really fun fighter. Raging Blast is returning to the Tenkaichi formual which sucks. The Tenkiachi games are ok but, I prefer the Budokai gameplay more. What they should do is re-release Budokai 3 with some added stuff. Budokai 3 is easily the best DBZ game out there. Oh, one more thing:
" @Hitchenson said:Thats the problem right there. Dragonball Z games are all the same and the tenkaichi series is pretty terrible. They just keep rehashing the same game, throw a new coat of paint on it and push it out for all the kids who are too stupid to realize that they have been playing this same game for the past 5 years. With a franchise like Dragonball, they have the ability to create some amazing fighting games but rather than put any effort into developing a fighting game with a type of depth that most fighting game fans are looking for, the decide to take the easy road and hope that someone is still interested" Nah, OVER 9000 aside, what is this game? Is it a DBZ fighting game? "Its pretty much the 360/PS3 version of budokai tenkaichi "
Now, I rather like Tenkaichi series, 3 being the best for me, because it gives me what I want personally from a Dragonball Z fighting game. Seems more like the show to me with the large arenas and different moves you do (teleporting, fast combos, afterimages and solar flares, etc.) Granted, it was a couple of years from the last time I played Tenkaichi 1 to picking up Tenkaichi 3, so the game was a huge improvement for me since I never played two (On a side note, I went from Budokai 1 to 3, too for some reason). If this next game is like the Tenkaichi games, then I'll probably check it out, although hopefully it IS more than just a graphical update of Tenkaichi 1, like how Burst Limit was just a graphical update of Budokai 1.
" @Kycon90 said:This is a dragon ball z fighting game, not a fighting game. You can't try to make DBZ into a technical fighting game, it just don't work, go check out Super DBZ, it is not fun at all because with its fighting system its going up against the likes of street fighter and tekken, which of course blow it away. Plus a super deep fighting system with tons of technicals won't allow the fights to imitate the anime." @Hitchenson said:Thats the problem right there. All in all, you just gotta like DBZ to like the games, if you are a fan of fighting games, its no good because its not a deep fighting game. However if you are into DBZ, you will enjoy it a lot because it recreates a lot of the fights from the series and it really cool.
Oh, and also, TheWorsePlayerEver, I am not a kid and I realize that the BT games are very similar but they are different and each one adds lots of new content, so...whatever.
Really? Man, talk about be re-redundant." They're STILL making Dynasty Warriors: Dragonball Z Edition? Man... "
" I havent played a good dbz game since tenkaichi 3. "well this is basically tenkaichi 4 so your in luck. also SSJ3 Vegeta so im semi stoked...
" The love? First of all, its hard to love a game that isn't even out. Second, the past games have been so bad that its easy to explain why no one loves or even cares about this one. "The Budokai Tenkaichi series is actually pretty good, all the the others arnt relly good
