Well, I played about 5+ hours today and I think I'm ready to head off to the island to see if the jester is there.  I find it interesting that nothing is straightforward in this game.  You go to the casino, then you have to go to the island, then to a castle, and then go on a quest with the prince-dude to get the mirror, then once to get the mirror you gotta talk to the old guy and then recharge the mirror in a random battle.  Man, I can see why this game is soo long.  I'm still having loads of fun--but I wonder if I'll start to loose some momentum once some of the newer games start coming out--I'm thinking of infamous, but not 100% sure yet.  Onward!!!

i'm playing DW8 right now too. and i like it, but i'm eying these portable releases they got coming out right now thinking that they might be the way to go. I like to treat playing my DS like i'm reading a book or what ever and get comfy on the couch and sit and just zone out on it. DW 9 will be good for that i think.

I am on board for DQ IX whenever it comes out, but I've stayed away from the other DS DQ games because I can't imagine playing a 40+ hr game of the DS.  I might break down one day--especially right before a vacation.
