Giant Insects are insects and other 'bugs' that are far larger than in the real world. Some are about half the size of a human, others are bigger than buildings. Larger than life or gigantic insects are a common element in many video games, especially those of the RPG Genre.
A humanoid construct given life through magic. The materials used to create a golem vary greatly.
Whether it be Mario vs. Bowser, Jedi vs. Sith, Link vs. Ganon, or Elves vs. Orcs, the forces of good are in an eternal battle with the hordes of evil.
These are endings that aren't just good, but they give you everything you could want. The world is saved, the hero gets the girl, friendships are made that will last forever, everyone is safe, the villain is gone for good, and all loose ends are wrapped up forever.... unless a sequel is made.
Special or stronger units than standard ones, usually found in strategy games. This is not necessarily the same thing as a superhero or a game's protagonist.

This concept is for games in which at least one of the main characters is male.

Sometimes one playable character just isn't enough.
Many games such as Shin Megami Tensei, God of War, or Too Human base their story off of or utilize elements from the order of the cosmos as perceived by humans both ancient and modern.
Nintendo Entertainment System (and Famicom) games that allow the player to save their progress.
Sequels that have the player controlling a different character than the preceding game(s).
Characters controlled by the game for players to interact with, as opposed to player characters which are controlled by whomever is playing the game.
Non-linear level design where the player is able to freely traverse the game world and choose where and when to visit certain areas in the game.
Games that have had an Original Soundtrack album released.
An overworld is a simplified view of the game world that allows players to freely move to different locations or levels.
A Palette Swap is when two or more characters share the same style sprite or character model with only minor color or cosmetic changes. Although visually similar, palette swap characters may have very different moves and personalities.
A persistent world is a game environment that is permanent and dynamic. This is seen in many MMO's.
Creating a character's personality, history, abilities, etc. through a questionnaire.
A set of questions posed to the player, commonly at the beginning of a game, that may affect certain aspects of the game.
Games where the player either can, or must, create all their protagonists as custom characters.
Simulating the effects of a great variety of poisons, toxins, venoms and nerve agents can lead to many unique and interesting mechanics. A classic trope in games, Poison usually deals small amounts of damage to health over time.
A follow-up to a game or movie that takes place before the events of the previous installment or installments.
Enemies that appear out of nowhere and force the player into a battle.
A broad spectrum of games can be described as remakes, from straightforward graphical overhauls to extensive revision of gameplay and story elements. In the most basic sense, a remake keeps the original's core gameplay and plot but makes significant changes to peripheral aspects.
Characters that are designed to be scantily-clad.
The concept of reviving somebody who is dead or down.
